Hero is a recurring class in the Fire Emblem series. It is the promoted version of the Mercenary class. It promotes to Vanguard in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. They wield swords, and since Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi, they also wield axes. They have balanced stats all around. They are called Forrests in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.
