The Tiferet Yisrael Synagogue, (Hebrew: בית הכנסת תפארת ישראל), was one of the most outstanding synagogues in the Old City of Jerusalem which was destroyed by the Jordanians in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Named after Rabbi Israel Friedman of Ruzhin, it was also known as the Nissan Bek Shul, (Yiddish: ניסן בק שול), after its founder Rabbi Nissan Beck.
