Wizard Edvin is a wizard featured in the Rune Mechanics quest. He agrees to help the player in creating a Rune Guardian once they have solved his maze. He refers to you as a 'guinea pig' since he tests the maze on you, much as a scientist would use a guinea pig in an experiment. Wizard Edvin mentions that one of his previous test subjects went mad and left in an "unconventional manner" while testing portals. This may refer to Blink, a boss monster in Daemonheim, or Chell, the protagonist in Valve's Portal series.
