Paul Krugman is a Jewish-American economist and professor who contributes to the New York Times. He was born on February 28, 1953 in Albany, New York but grew up in the Nassau County part of it. Also an author of 20 books including the well-known "The Conscience of a Liberal", he proudly calls himself a liberal. He won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his contributions to New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography in 2008, a year after "The Conscience of a Liberal" was released. The Conscience of a Liberal is also the name of his New York Times blog. He is happily married to Robin Wells Krugman and they currently have no children.
