Sea underneath the continent of the Southlands, beyond its Southern Capes. Its distance from the equator makes it icy cold. Brian Westhouse tells Benrime Salmin that there are lands beyond the South Sea that are frozen all year round. This may indicate another continent besides the three (four?) we already know, or they may be nothing more than islands. Nevertheless, it can be surmised that this was the southernmost point Brian visited in his travels, and no doubt represents one of the "four corners of the world" he's "literally" visited.
