Evelyn Rosabelle Mary Middleton (née Chinnery) (15 September 1912 – 2002). The daughter of Philip Chinnery, a piano forte manufacturer's agent of Plumstead and his wife Rose Alice née Mayfield. She became an official in the Savings Bank Department of the Post Office and married Walter George Middleton in Woolwich in 1937. A member of Woolwich Borough Council from 1949-65. Conservative Party member of the London County Council 1961-65 for Woolwich West.
