The CyberSecurity Malaysia Honeynet Project (also known as Lebahnet) was initiated in 2002. A major project overhaul started in mid-2007 as more resources were invested in the project. The project aims to provide valuable supporting information such as network trends and malicious activities for MyCERT's incident handling and advisory activities. Lebahnet also serves as a research network for MyCERT's analysts to experiment with relevant tools and techniques.
