The King Festival is when there are only 10 mamodos left in the battle to become king. Right after Rogue Viper's book is burned by Brago, a message is sent to all remaining Mamodo and Book Owners. They are informed of and shown the Mamodo World's current state, with all present Mamodo in existence drifting as spirits, and the King's Privelege to kill any Mamodo they wish upon their conquering.
