Hisame is a hostile spirit in Fatal Frame III: The Tormented and one of the four Pacifiers (Handmaidens) to serve in the Kuze Shrine and the last one to be chosen. Hisame is the most devoted of the three others and is willing to fulfill her duties no matter what. Like all other Handmaidens (excluding Amane) Hisame is not related to the Kuze family by blood. However, after being adopted by Yashuu Kuze to serve as the final Pacifier she is given the surname Kuze.
