Katarian emerald grass was a type of plant native to planet Betazed. A small lake island near the home of Jason Garrett was covered with katarian emerald grass. (TLE novel: Well of Souls) Though spelled differently, there may be a connection between this Betazoid grass variety, and with Betazed's Lake Cataria.
