Justin Boden was living in New York City with his partner Frank Levin when Kilgrave put them under his control and forced them to assist him and Albert Thompson in their experiments to increase Kilgrave's power. When Kilgrave gained the power he needed, he ordered Boden to kill Thompson and destroy his body. Boden was found by Jessica Jones who freed him of Kilgrave's control before he was represented in court by Jeri Hogarth.
