The F/V Sweet Sue was a fishing vessel out of Boston, Massachusetts in the early 1940s. George Enos, Jr. served aboard her early in the Second Great War, when she was machine gunned by a British naval fighter off HMS Ark Royal. Although damaged, Captain Albert managed to bring her back to port. Davey Hatton, the cook, was killed, and Chris Agganis, a fisherman, was wounded in the leg. After repairs and a fresh coat of paint, the Sue continued to set out on fishing trips during the war, although most of the surviving crew refused to sail on her.
