Irene "Ina" Chaplin ( née Marcousé) (1900-1990) was a Labour Party politician. Born in Vilnius in modern Lithuania, then in the Russian Empire, Marcousé subsequently moved to Brussels, Belgium. She was educated at Heidelberg University and then the University of London. She was a member of the London County Council from 1946-65 for Islington East, and of the successor Greater London Council representing Islington 1964–1967; Hackney 1967–1973; Hackney South and Shoreditch 1973–1977. She was also a member of the Inner London Education Authority, and served as its deputy-chairman.
