Colonel Oswald Menzies (30 August 1837 - 12 June 1917) was an officer in the British Indian Army who was later a local politician in the the Ealing area. Born in Capetown, South Africa, he was commissioned in the Indian Army in 1854, reaching the rank of colonel in 1880 and became Inspector General of the Punjab Police. He retired in 1884 and moved to Ealing, Middlesex, a rapidly developing suburb of London. He became a member of Ealing Borough Council, and served as Mayor of Ealing in 1904-05.
