A time dilation field is a force field that causes time inside it to progress at another speed than the surrounding area. Such a field appeared in the French town of Carentan shortly after the discovery of Hollow Earth, causing every day of normal time to last six years on the inside. Agents of the Sanctuary Network were eventually able to dissolve it, and the reintegration into the normal space-time continuum caused everything born and created in it to disappear.
