Arak Esplin was a female Saurian active in the Federation Starfleet in the early 25th century. Esplin graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2409 with a commission as an ensign and was assigned to USS Bajor as communications officer. She had her first time in combat late that year when Bajor responded to a distress signal from the freighter SS Shargrash. (Bait and Switch: Bait and Switch) Esplin is present in most Bait and Switch stories but rarely does anything besides operate the communications systems.
