The Inner Rim Territories is a region of the galaxy located between the Colonies and the Expansion Region. For hundreds of years it was known simply as "The Rim" and believed to be the outermost region of the galaxy by the Core Worlds explorers, who were unaware of the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories.
