The term semi-proportional is used to occasionally describe certain voting systems which do not provide proportional representation but are such that a minority of a dertain size can gurantee some form of representation. Systems sometimes described as semi-proportional include: * Cumulative Voting because a member of a minority group can award all his/her points to a single candidate, while others may choose to spread their points across a number of candidates. * Limited Voting Alphabetical Index:
