The USS Sussex (NCC-2523) was an Ascension-class dreadnought in active Federation Starfleet service during at least the 23rd century. It was commissioned in 2282. (Federation Reference Series 3; Ships of the Star Fleet) From 2292 to 2294, Sussex's commanding officer was Threll A'von (Star Trek: Avenger) Two of the sister ships of the Sussex were the USS Ascension and the USS Tai Shan.
