Paffran was a location on the Vhnori homeworld. In 2371, Dr. Neria informed Harry Kim that he might be transferred to a complex at Paffran. There, the staff would do detailed scans of Kim's microcellular structures and a complete examination of his neurochemistry. (VOY: "Emanations") The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 119) idenitified Paffran as a city.
