The Adept was a style of lightsaber hilt that was commonly used by Jedi initiates and Knights that served with the New Jedi Order. It was designed to be used by beings with two or four fingers and a thumb. Extra protection to the user was given by a guard below the emitter. Alora used twin sabers of this model.
