Shane Hobbs is a forward who is a product of the youth setup at Bristol Rovers. He was awarded a professional contract for the first time in 2003, and spent the 2003-04 season as a member of the first team squad. During this campaign he was sent out on loan to Clevedon Town on work experience terms, and became their top scorer with twelve goals. In April 2012 he was sentenced to 16 months in prison for sexual assault after being caught on CCTV putting his hand down a woman's trousers in Exeter city centre.
