Protas Zanabi was a Human male who served the Naval forces of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances as a Commodore. Following the collapse of the Federation at the hands of the Fel Empire and the One Sith, he and the other surviving officers and soldiers were forced to use guerrila tactics instead of outright combat as they struggled to gain footholds in the Galaxy. He was the older siblings of Shiraya and Dra'vil Zanabi, both of whom were Frigate Captains, and all of which were named after deities, Protas being named after a Kaminoan aquatic mythological figure. He was in command of a Squadron of ships known as Horae Squadron, Zanabi's flagship being known as the Hesperis
