Ankar Ko'Maslen is a San'Shyuum survivor of the Fall of High Charity. Following the end of the war, Ankar would become distraught and vengeful for near-extermination of his race. Consumed with anger, he sought to reform the Covenant in his own image, by gathering several Jiralhanae tribes and thousands of Unggoy and Kig-Yar soldiers, he vowed to avenge his people by wiping out both humanity and the Sangheili.
