The Galactic Alliance strike troops were created shortly before the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Their purpose was mainly infiltration, and prior to their deployment they trained for months aboard captured Yuuzhan Vong vessels. Three squads of strike troops participated in the Battle of Selvaris, storming Peace Brigade ships to rescue high ranking Alliance prisioners. They wore mimetic enviro-suits and black helmets with tinted face bowls. Strike troops used a wide variety of armament, including blaster rifles, flash grenades and half-meter long vibroblades.
