Hartin is the Imperial Moff assigned to oversee the space of the Bothan Federation after its annexation by the Galactic Empire in 14 ABY. Hartin does not have full control over Bothan Space, as the Imperial policy towards Bothan space is that of "salutatory neglect", granting the Bothans a level of autonomy in the Imperial sphere. Nevertheless, Hartin keeps a close eye on the Bothan government and advises them on all affairs, relaying the will of the central Imperial government and that of the Emperor to the Bothan leadership. Hartin is a Non-Player Character, for storyline use only.
