George W. Reed (1831 – December 21, 1906) was a Union Army soldier in the American Civil War and a recipient of the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions at the Battle of Globe Tavern. Reed's official Medal of Honor citation reads: Capture of flag of 24th North Carolina Volunteers (C.S.A.)
