This era is marked by events such as the end of the wave of new mappers, and by the challenging of the status quo of Mervue's style, such as occupied land introduced by MapAnimator, which is slowly attracting mappers to use, and more scenarios. At this point, mappers have become less active, with some more focused on Alternate History, or historical animations of major events/wars. A possible new era, the Cultural Era has been predicted, signifying that is era could be coming to a close.
