The Mitsurushima people are a Gao-Showan people who originated in the Mitsurushima Valley, now modern day eastern Sekowo. The Mitsurushima may be considered subgroup of the Kunihito, differing primarily in terms of customs. During the Gao-Soto Empire the Mitsurushima provided formidable warriors to protect and serve the Emperor. Nowadays Mitsurushima are the largest Gao-Showan group in Sekowo
