Ultimate Global Wrestling (UGW), was founded by Gabe Sapolsky on April 7, 2014. Sapolsky is known for being the protegee of ECW's founder Paul Heyman, being the co-founder of Ring of Honor (ROH) and it's head booker from 2002 to 2008. He is also known for co-founding Evolve Wrestling in 2010. Sapolsky said that he named the promotion UGW simply on the fact that the promotion will feature the best professional wrestlers from around the world.
