Margery Darcy served drinks at a motel in 1979. During a Halloween party at the motel, a rogue Kaftakkrofakian poisoned the guests with an alien slime, turning them into zombies. The Tenth Doctor helped her escape. In 2008, Margery worked at the Hotel Splendide, which was built on the same grounds the motel had been. She was attacked by one of the zombies from the incident in 1979 and covered in green slime. She remembered the incident and told the story to Martha. (PROSE: Zombie Motel)
