For the purposes of Philwiki, censorship is the intentional elimination or modification of information to disguise or hide a fact. While people might censor information in articles, restricting or prohibiting debate is also equally common – bias is permitted in debate, so people do try to stop specific viewpoints. Either way, censorship is damaging to the mission of Philwiki because it restricts the ability to present information factually. It admits bias, since different people have different ideas of what should be hidden. It is also not Philwiki is an encyclopedic, since it omits certain things. Philwiki cannot do these things, and contributors cannot perform censorship on their own.
