A black mushroom can be found next to Evil Dave's compound in New Varrock. It can be used to dye silverlight black, creating silverlight (dyed), in order to gain entrance to the compound and proceed with Dimension of Disaster: Demon Slayer. It can also be eaten, but this does nothing.
