An arts center was a building devoted to the arts. An arts center was one of the planned facilities for the colony on Melona IV, to have been located near the colony's school, in the center of the living spaces. After the planet was devastated by the Crystalline Entity in 2368, it was rendered uninhabitable, effectively cancelling these plans. (TNG: "Silicon Avatar" )
