Eldrakyn (plural; singular: Eldrak) are a large humanoid monster that resemble a Cherek troll. They are similar to "Ape-Bears" in Mallorea. Belgarath fought an Eldrak named Grul twice; the first time, he sliced open Grul's stomach with a hidden knife. Grul wised up and put together armor from Arends that he slew, and it took the combination of Poledra, Belgarath, Silk, Hettar, Mandorallen, and Barak to defeat Grul. Eldrakyn are deceptively agile for their size and extremely strong.
