Foghill was the nephew of Meldrum Fallowthorn the Magnificient, along with Runtwold, Coltvine and Thurdale. He lived in the dwelling of Furpp Straightfurrer. Foghill was put on a fizzer for calling Meldrum Uncle Mel. He and his brothers were trained by their uncle Melrum and formed a leveret squad. The squad helped rescue Mariel, Dandin, Bowly Pintips and Furpp Straightfurrer from Urgan Nagru's horderats in Castle Floret. When Meldrum was captured by the horderats and laid half unsconscious in his cell, he bequeathed his rod and stone weapon to Foghill.
