Ray Kaunisto (born February 7, 1987 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan) is an American forward playing in the Los Angeles Kings' organization. He played junior hockey for the Sault Ste. Marie Indians and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders from 2003 to 2006. He then attended Northern Michigan University until 2010. Undrafted by the NHL, Kaunisto joined the Kings in 2010. He made the NHL roster out of training camp, but only on the injured list. He will be assigned to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.
