High Shaman was the title held by one of the three Force-sensitives who led the nomadic tribes of the planet Zakuul before Valkorion's arrival and the formation of the Eternal Empire. Each tribe was led by a Matriarch, Champion, and High Shaman, and after he united the tribes, Valkorion repurposed the three roles as the Knights of Zakuul, an order of Force-sensitive warriors.
