Rare Red Pikmin are one of the species variations of Pikmin in Pikmin: A New Journey . Unlike the rare variations of Candypop Bud-exclusive Pikmin, there is a small chance one will pop out of an Onion. They are slightly bigger and stronger than normal reds. Like all rare variations, they have small freckles under their eyes. These ones have a tail, which they use in battle. If you idle for long enough, you might see one start bouncing on its tail. Like normal reds, they are immune to fire, but unlike Normal reds they resist the attacks of the Blaze Bulborb. They seem rather spunky and energetic, hopping around a little bit when idle. Their flowers are red, like the Rare Purple Pikmin, but they are tipped with orange.
