Her Grace, Ashima Bengali (2574-2669) was a Namaste Party politician and former President of Jelbania. A successful politician, she had consistently ranked as one of highest in the amount of seats she has won for her party. In June 2596, she won the presidency but lost her reelection bid in 2601. In 2604, she was granted the title of Duchess of Baniray by Emperor Steven P. Kennedy V. She lost to Chris Smith in the 2606 election for the Governor General. The Duchess and the Emperor have a complicated political relationship as she is willing to vote in favor of his constitutional reforms but not on his domestic reforms.
