Jean Rimmer (24th January 1928 - 15th March 2004) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles: * Nurse Clough, on duty when Stan Ogden was hospitalised in February 1967 after injuring his back during his first day of work at the Builder's Yard * Dressmaker Ethel Needham who purchased Blanche Hunt's corsetry business in January 1976 * Shop assistant Avril Carter who worked at Crabtree's Chip Shop in May and June 1983. Her other credits include Emmerdale Farm, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and EastEnders.
