The Duke of Blackadder (fl. 1703) was an esteemed General in the time of Queen Anne, and possibly the most distinguished member of the Blackadder Family. Despite this, he lost the first battle he led; the Battle of S***hole. It is suspected by historians that this had something to do with Queen Anne promising him a palace named after the site where he won his first victorious battle.
