an Entity in Data Space: 134.155.108.49:8890

The name is derived from Sepharad, the name of a country used in the Tanakh in Obadiah 1:20, which came to mean Spain and Portugal in Medieval Hebrew and still means Spain in Modern Hebrew today. The term "Sephardi Jews" is most often used in order to distinguish the community from Jews who follow traditions originating in other regions, such as the Ashkenazim.
