A crosswhip lightsaber was a rare variety of lightsaber. Plans for this saber were known to exist, as well as actual sabers, however, the art was lost to mere holorecordings of unidentified masters. Only three species were known to possess the necessary physical traits to wield on accurately: Ongree, due to their unique eye structure, Phindians, due to their long reach, and Aleena, due to their small size and ability to excape both their opponents blade and their own whip very fast due to enhanced metabolic rate.
