The USS Vulcan was a Federation Galaxy-class large exploration cruiser under construction for Starfleet in the early 25th century. The Vulcan was part of the twenty-third production series of Galaxy-class starships, the so-called Planet-class, and was named for the planet Vulcan, homeworld to the Vulcans.
