The Fawkes Farm was an estate in the province of Natal, South Africa located near the small town of Umkono. The farm was owned by retired Royal Navy captain, Patrick Fawkes. The farm grew sugarcane, tea, and tobacco, while raising dairy cattle. There was, also, an small garden plot used to grow vegetables for personal consumption. In 1988, the SADF massacred the residents of the Fawkes Farm in order to blame it on the African Army of Revolution that operated in the area. Fawkes, himself, was off to meet with some government officials and he was the only survivor.
