After a lifetime of travelling, Densetsu had traversed vast lands and varied landscapes. His love for adventure took him far and wide, and also enabled him to deposit his Flying Thunder God inscriptions in the places he visited. This led to the development of the Opened Gateway Technique, which enabled him to instantaneously open a portal to a location he wished to visit and pass through it. This technique was also created by the Uchiha in a bid to emulate the famed Kamui, which he did not possess.
