The Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell is a mystery published in 2007. It has the same name as the collection ancient Egyptian writings about the afterlife. Ms Cornwell's book is the fifteenth in her Scarpetta Novel series. It comes after Predator and before Scarpetta. Dr. Kay Scarpetta is the protagonist is this book as in others in the series.
