Conal of Mindelan (KOHN-ahl of MIHN-duh-lahn) was the fourth child of Ilane and Piers of Mindelan. One of his younger sisters was Kel. Like his two older brothers Conal was a knight. He was remembered as a menace at court. Around 446 HE he held his four-year old sister Kel off of a balcony, until a maid heard her screaming and rescued her. He considering it a joke but thus created her fear of heights. Kel noted that she had never seen her father that angry; he almost disowned Conal, and said he would disown Conal if anything like that ever happened again. Conal did not remember it when Kel asked him about it after her return from the Yamani Islands. Along with Kel and Avinar Conal was one of those siblings still unmarried by the 460s.
