Gant was an Earth Alliance Senator. In 2258 Gant was contacted by Commander Sinclair for an advisory concerning the dispute between Dr. Stephen Franklin and the Onteen parents Tharg and M'Ola over the treatment of their son Shon. Gant declined even to advise Sinclair, saying the situation was his responsibility.
